The postcard to the left, was sent out to existing and prospective clients to market our business nearly 90 years ago.
We have often been asked about the source of our company’s logo and its relevance to our business. There is more to our logo than an image and we would like to take this opportunity to tell you a bit about its history.
At the same time as the family business flourished, Wembley Sunspot enjoyed considerable success in the specialist field of Hackney Harness Class – thanks to the efforts of his trainer, Edgar Sydney Moss.
Wembley Sunspot was a champion hackney owned by Samuel Edgar Moss, a builder by trade, a tradition continued by his son, grandson and great grandson. His firm S.E. Moss was based in Southend and it was with the family firm that our founder gained his early training in the building industry.
Success in competition relies on hard work, dedication and attention to detail, principles that are as relevant and important to us now as they were to Edgar Sydney Moss in the days of his first success. Our logo represents a tradition in building and the success that ensues when high standards are achieved.
